The Dusky Suns are a Winnipeg-area indie rock band that blends prairie roots with West Coast moods. Born from a mix of family ties, longtime friendships and one fateful meeting, they began on covers before growing into a confident songwriting group. Drawing on influences from The Tragically Hip and Brandi Carlile to Blues Traveler and No Doubt, their music navigates life’s turning points — coping with change, sorting through everyday chaos, grieving what was, and rediscovering who you are. Sometimes hopeful, sometimes quietly furious, often bittersweet, their songs feel honest because they’re written from lived experience.

Dusty Cole's drumming is both powerful and precise, locking in her groove gives the band a solid foundation. Mitch Ruth holds down the low end with a steady driving bass and rounds out the vocals with well placed harmonies. Jeff Hondabura's lead guitar work brings both energy and character, with melodic leads running throughout the songs. Norah Erickson's commanding vocals sit at the heart of the bands sound, delivering equal parts power, grit and emotion. Together, they are The Dusky Suns burning up the stage and lightin' up the sky!
